Rover was a lovely true to type pony, small and stocky with good flat bone, and silky feather. We bought him as a 10 year old from
He was used for shepherding in between stallion duties, and was ridden by our Gemma since she was 7, showing how quiet he really was.

Many of Rovers fillies we have kept and are now our brood mares, other ponies which he has sired are Wellbrow Hercules and Wellbrow Jacko, both who has qualified and contended at HOY'S in the past.

Rover died peacefully at home on the 5th of November 2007. He was one of all our favourites.

Henry was a jet black Fell Pony with one of the nicest heads I had ever seen. He had lots of bone and masses of feather. We used him for two seasons, mainly on mares which where sired by Heltondale Rover IV. We have kept four of Henry's Fillies which are now our brood mares, these are... Wellbrow Rona, Wellbrow Rosland, Wellbrow Jewel and Wellbrow Peggy.

Sire - Heltondale Rover IV  FP19C
Dam - Heltondale Polly Perkins 18068

Hercules needs no introduction. Being shown very successfully by us from a Yearling to a 4 year old, we sold him as a 4 year old Stallion to Mike and Helen Burke in Bristol. With many wins under his belt, he qualified for The Horse Of The Year Show in, 2004 and 2005, being in the top 10 both times.

Before Hercules left us we covered one of our mares with him, Wellbrow Lucky Princess, which got us a lovely filly Foal Wellbrow Polly Perkins, she is now one of our breeding mares and always breed good fell true to type foals year after year. Some of these being, Wellbrow Tommy (Top Fell Stallion in Europe for Sire Ratings,) Wellbrow Eliza, Wellbrow Colin (who we hope to use as a stallion in the future, and 2010's Foal Welbrow Dora.

Hercules is now Standing at Public stud down south, For more information Contact Zoe Arrowsmith Warleigh stud.

Sire - Heltondale Mountain Mist II  FP50429C

Minstral was an all grey Fell Stallion, with tremendous movement, and brilliant temperament, with the overall look of the idea 'rocking horse' with dapples all over his body.

We used Minstral in 2009 on 5 of our mares, and the next year we where very impressed with his foals and all mares which he covered foaling. His first crop of foals includes, Wellbrow Danny (all grey colt,) Wellbrow Dipsy (all grey filly which we will retain for breeding,) Wellbrow Davy, Wellbrow Dove and Wellbrow Dora.

We sold 'Minnie' to a lovely home in Winter 2010, he has now been backed and coming on lovely, his new owners intend to do ridden showing and Working Hunter with him.

Sire - Heltondale Mountain Mist II FP50429C
Dam - Wellbrow Lucky Lass FP3496

Victor again has only been lightly used at stud, he is from the same families as Rambler, therefore related to most of our ponies.
He is 12.2hh, and is of traditional type with tremendous movement. Victor oozes presence, easy to handle, loves attention, and showing off.
He has only sired one foal which was Wellbrow Dixie, born in 2010.

Victor was reserve supreme champion at the 2011 Fell Pony Society Stallion Show.

Victor was sold in the Summer of 2011, he will be kept entire and will pursue his career in showing both inhand and ridden.

                      Black  22/05/1996

Sire - Tebay Campbell Ton Victor 6614*
Dam - Heltondale Polly Perkins 18068

Leo is the all round versatile fell pony. He was shown many times as a youngster, with numerous wins and championships. He rides and drives, he even pulled our wedding carriage as a 4 year old behaving absolutely perfectly. Leo is the sire of a lot of good Fell Ponies, including the Fell Stallion Wellbrow Ron, who was recently exported to Germany after several years at Lownthwaite Stud, also our own
Wellbrow Black Bess.

In the winter of 2011 we made the very hard decision of putting Leo up for sale, due to the fact that we have retained several of his stock for future breeding, and felt that he could spend his next 15 years having a quieter life.
We sold him to Angie Smith and Gary Richardson who own the Stundstead Fell Pony Stud. Here he will continue both his inhand and ridden showing career as well as taking up driving. Angie and Gary also plan on serving their fell mares with him as well as standing him at public stud.

We hope they both have as much fun and enjoyment out of Leo in the coming years as we have had with him.
